Remove Image Metadata

Re-export a supported image to remove common embedded metadata.

Choose an image to begin.

Export settings

A new image is rendered from the visible pixels. This usually omits camera and location metadata embedded in the original file.

Images are processed locally in your browser. The file is not uploaded to ListSite for editing.

How to use this tool

Upload an image, select your output format and download a fresh browser-generated copy.

Before you download

Metadata removal depends on the file type. Inspect the result if you have strict privacy or compliance requirements.

Example workflow

Export a copy before publishing a photo when you want to reduce embedded information. This tool rebuilds the image through the browser. Compare the output dimensions, color and orientation with the original before replacing it.

Check your result

Re-encoding may alter quality and color profiles. This is not a forensic certification that every kind of identifying information is absent. Private details visible in the pixels, such as a face or address, need separate editing.
