Task tips

Email and phone suggestions come from OCR patterns. Fill in the name and company yourself, correct all contact fields and then export VCF. Open the downloaded card in your contacts app to check it before importing.

A complete workflow

Recognize the card, then enter the person’s name and company. Check the suggested email, phone and website against the image. Choose ZIP containing vCard or VCF file, prepare the download and inspect the contact in your contacts application before importing.

If the result is wrong

A decorative logo is not a reliable contact name. OCR can confuse 0/O in email addresses and omit a phone country code. Fill missing fields yourself. If the browser opens a VCF instead of saving it, choose ZIP and extract contact.vcf.

What the export contains

The export is a vCard 3.0 with the reviewed fields, not a validated identity. A name is required. Empty optional fields stay empty. Import behavior varies between contact applications, so confirm accents, phone formatting and duplicates before saving.
