Photo privacy blur

Detect faces locally and add manual masks over faces, license plates or other private details.

Task tips

Automatic detection finds faces only. Cover license plates and other private details manually by dragging a rectangle or entering pixel coordinates. Check the entire exported image: detection can miss small, angled or obscured faces. Pixelation does not guarantee anonymity.

A complete workflow

Load the photo and use Detect faces as a starting point. Inspect every face, then drag additional masks over missed faces, plates or addresses. Use Undo last mask for a mistake. Prepare the PNG and inspect the downloaded copy, not only the outlined editing preview.

If the result is wrong

Automatic detection finds faces, not license plates. Small or side-facing faces may be missed. If dragging is awkward, enter the mask’s left, top, width and height in source-image pixels. Check reflections and background documents too.

What the export contains

The PNG contains pixelated regions without the orange editing outlines. Detection downloads a face model, while manual masking can be used without starting detection. Pixelation is not guaranteed anonymization; use an opaque redaction workflow when your privacy requirements demand it.
